Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens and Richmond Counties- The New York City Planning Commission, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Design Regulations for Commercial and Community Facility Parking Lots will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the proposal of The New York City Department of City Planning (DCP) to amend the Zoning Resolution to establish design guidelines for the construction of open parking areas accessory to community facility and commercial uses in all zoning districts. The design standards are comprised of three main components: perimeter screening, interior landscaping, and maneuverability standards for vehicles. The new design guidelines would facilitate the design and construction of high-quality commercial and community facility parking lots. The project is located in all five boroughs of New York City.
