Negative Declaration

Chenango County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Drilling Permit Application for Nornew, Inc. Proposed Palmatier 1 Natural Gas Well Located within Chenango County Agricultural District #01 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the drilling of a natural gas well. Drilling operations will be conducted in accordance with the drilling permit issued and rules and regulations of the Department. The total area proposed to be disturbed during the initial construction phase for the well site and access road is 138,625 square feet or approximately 3.18 acres. After the well has been drilled, it will be put into production or plugged and abandoned. The well pad and access road areas for a producing well will be reduced to 13,150 square feet or approximately 0.30 acres and the remaining disturbed areas reclaimed. If the well is plugged and abandoned, the site will be reclaimed. The project is located approximately 700 feet east of County Road 19 and 1500 feet north of County Road 10 A in Town of Preston, NY.

Madison County - The Town of Cazenovia Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Summerfields Section 4 Amended Preliminary Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the development of a major 24 lot subdivision for single-family homes. This is an amendment of a previously approved preliminary plan addressing approximately 76 acres and one separate building lot for a total of 24 lots. The amended plan also relocates the intersection of Summerfield Drive and Ridge Road approximately 400' to the north of the old proposed location. The project is located north of Summerfield Drive, west of Lincklaen Road and east of Ridge Road in the Town of Cazenovia, NY.
