The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has added a link to a translation service developed by Microsoft Inc., entitled Bing Translator, as a convenience to visitors to the DEC website who speak languages other than English.

Negative Declaration

Albany County - The New York State Department of Transportation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Route 7 over I-87 Bridge Replacement will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the replacement of the current deficient bridge with a new bridge which will provide an unposted 50 year service life. The project will also, where feasible, provide incremental traffic operation and safety improvements along Route 7, Route 2 and I-87. This project will also create compensatory wetlands at another location. The project is located at the Route 7 Bridge over I-87, Town of Colonie, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Greene County - The Greene County Industrial Development Agency, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed I-87 Exit 21 B Multi-Use Destination Retail Park. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on June 26, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cornell Hook & Ladder Firehouse, Gill Road, New Baltimore, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until July 6, 2007. The action involves the a study of the suitability of creating a Multi-use Destination Retail Park in the vicinity of I-87 Exit 21 B. The Park includes a destination retail store, destination entertainment hotel, national department store, chain hotel and restaurant, professional./flex office space, limited second story apartments dwellings, a multi-use arts center and farmers market as well as new infrastructure to include relocation of I-87 Exit 21 B, a new water storage tank, new wastewater treatment plant and extension of existing utilities. Stormwater management, habitat enhancement and wetlands mitigations are integrated in the the project. The project is located on approximately 330 acres between I-87 and CSX rail tracks in the vicinity of Exit 21 B in the Town of New Baltimore, NY.
