Negative Declaration

Westchester County - The Town of North Castle, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Nitrogen Removal Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the Wastewater Treatment plant owned by the Town of North Castle. The effluent of the treatment plant ultimately flows in to the Long Island Sound. Due to the discharge flowing into the Long Island Sound, additional nitrogen removal requirements were added to the plant's existing SPDES permit in July, 2006. To accomodate the additional requirements, the Town has proposed nitrogen removal upgrades at the existing plant. The project is located 115 Business Park Drive, North Castle, NY, 10504.
