Project Description:
The applicant is proposing to modify the existing mining permit to lower the elevation of the mine floor from the previsouly approved elevation of 755' asl to 735' asl. Groundwater elevations will be monitored to verify the depth of the water table so that the mining depth will be a minimum of 5' above the water table. The mine is located on the east side of NYS Route 22, south of Boston Corners, in the Town of Ancram, Columbia County. MLF # 40344.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment:

The applicant has applied for a renewal and modification of an existing mining operation, to affect 70.5 acres of a 108.1 acre life of mine this permit term. The modification proposes to include C&D processing area within the life of mine, which would accept uncontaminated concrete, asphalt, brick and soils for processing within the mine. The site is located on NYS route 40 at Irish Road in the town of Schaghticoke.
