Project Description: The project consists of a subdivision of 48 acres containing wetlands into four lots and the construction of one single family dwelling on each of the lots. The lots range in size from 6.48 acres to 27.33 acres. Access to three of the lots will be afforded by one shared entrance from Bird Pond Road. A new gravel drive will provide access to Lot 4. Each of the four new single family dwellings will be located at least 200 feet from the public highway and will be served by an individual conventional absorption trench on-site wastewater treatment system. Wetlands are located on each of the lots, but none will be filled as a result of this project.

Project Title: Lake View Nursery

Project Description: The project is a two-lot leased subdivision and a new commercial use (i.e., nursery). The applicant proposes to lease a 7± acre parcel from the current landowners and open a nursery/farm stand on the leased parcel. The project will involve clearing an area about 100 ft. by 175 ft. adjacent to the highway and construction of a green house, pole barn and a sign within the cleared area for use as a nursery/farm stand to be known as the "Lake View Nursery". The green house will be a 16 ft. x 20 ft. structure with arched roof and a clear polyethylene cover. The pole barn will be 16 ft. x 16 ft. and constructed of 4 x 4 pressure treated posts with a green metal roof. One 1.5 ft. x 3 ft. sign (4.5 sq. ft.) is proposed to be located adjacent to the highway right-of-way. The sign will be about 2.5 feet high, on 4 x 4 posts and will be a natural wood color with black lettering reading "Lake View Nursery". The nursery/farm stand will be open from June 1st through September 4th, Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Project Title: Temporary Revocable Permit (TRP) - Diving Discovery Scuba Center

Project Location: Towns of Lake George and Hague
Project Description: The Department of Environmental Conservation is reviewing a TRP application to allow Diving Discovery Scuba Center to access Lake George from Hearthstone Point and Rogers Rock Campgrounds to conduct instructor supervised diving activities. These activities will take place in a safe location away from the protected beach areas. Participants pay the normal entrance fees. Diving is an approved and encouraged use of Lake George and this would be the 8th year this activity takes place at DEC facilities. Comments will be accepted until May 30th, 2007.

Negative Declaration
Saratoga County - The Wilton Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Chestnut Hill Subdivision will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a 16 lot residential subdivision of land with central water and sewer connections. The project is located on Jones Road, Town of Wilton, County of Saratoga, NY.
