SUPPLEMENTAL NOTICE of HEARING and ISSUES CONFERENCE

Project Description: The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) proposes to renew and modify the State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Permit for the Roseton Generating Station (SPDES permit number NY0008231), located in the Town of Newburgh, Orange County, New York. A notice concerning this hearing was published in the Middletown Times Herald Record on April 18, 2005 and in the DEC's Environmental Notice Bulletin on April 13, 2005 (http://co-nt-cms1/website/ohms/notices/roseton.html). A copy of that notice may also be obtained by contacting the DEC Office of Hearings and Mediation Services, 625 Broadway, Albany, New York 12233-1550 (518-402-9003).
PLEASE NOTE that the hearing and certain related dates have been postponed from the June dates originally announced. The legislative hearing, to receive unsworn statements from the public concerning the application, will take place beginning at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2005 at the Newburgh Town Hall, 1496 Route 300, Newburgh, New York. Written comments must be postmarked by July 8, 2005, and sent to Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) Susan DuBois at the Office of Hearings and Mediation Services address below.
The issues conference will take place beginning at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at the Newburgh Town Hall, continuing on July 20, 2005 if necessary.
