Reinstein Woods Public Programs and Events Schedule
Public Guided Tours
Guided nature walks for the general public are conducted on Saturdays at 10:00 AM. These tours last about 90 minutes and are free of charge. Advance registration is not required. These tours are not held on state holidays.
*NOTE: We are unable to accommodate organized groups (scouts, schools, hiking clubs, etc.) at our public programs. Please call 716-683-5959 to schedule a separate program for your group.

All children attending programs must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
We welcome people with disabilities to all of our programs. If you call ahead to let us know your specific needs, we will be happy to learn how we can best serve you.
All programs require advance registration, unless otherwise noted. For further information or for registration, call Reinstein Woods at 716-683-5959. In the event of severe weather, programs may be canceled or modified. Please call the center to confirm.

Looking to get out of the house with your young child? Join our fun series just for them! Each hour-long session will feature a variety of activities, such as stories, games, crafts and snacks. - Enjoy SPCA wildlife department presentations with live birds at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 PM
- Take a guided winter nature walk at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 PM
- Listen to winter nature stories at 1:45, 2:45 and 3:45 PM
- Kids can make winter nature crafts, such as pinecone bird feeders, snowglobes and track pictures
- Test out snowshoes or cross-country skis for free in our demonstration area
- Rent snowshoes and take a longer walk on the trails
- Create snow sculptures around the Education Center
- Try out the energy bike, and learn how to go "green" in the winter
- Learn about ice fishing and winter survival techniques
- Enjoy hot drinks and snacks for sale.
