Family Nature Clubs: Nature + Family = Fun!
Saturday, October 11 at the Buffalo Zoo
Saturday, October 25 at Reinstein Woods
Saturday, November 1 at the Aquarium of Niagara

9:00-11:00 AM

Parents: do you want to find the best way for your littlest ones (ages 0-5) to learn to connect with nature before they learn to connect with computers? Want to discover a great way for your whole family to unplug from the world of technology, jobs, and school?

We have just the idea! Join the Buffalo Zoo and Reinstein Woods Environmental Education Center for a FREE nature play workshop designed for families with at least one child ages 0-5. Workshop attendees will have the opportunity to join a Family Nature Club and participate in additional nature play opportunities like snowshoeing, hiking, and exploring well into 2015.

"The wild" can be a fun and safe place to play, explore, and grow up. During this workshop, families will ...

  • Discover the huge benefits of nature play.
  • Break down barriers to playing outside.
  • Develop confidence in your outdoor play skills.
  • PLAY!
  • Receive a nature kit to help enhance outdoor explorations.

You only need to attend one workshop to be eligible for the club, and you can choose the one that works best for you. You must have at least one child age 0-5, but older siblings will be welcome to the club as well! Please come dressed for the weather, and be prepared to get a little dirty! You must fill out a registration form and send it to the Buffalo Zoo for any of these workshops.
