Sealed bids for the Jimmy's Cleaner Site, Operable Units 1 and 2, Remedial Construction Project ("project"), will be received by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Division of Management and Budget Services, 10th Floor, 625 Broadway, Albany, New York, 12233-5027, Attn: Bureau of Expenditures until the time of 1:00 P.M. EST and on the date of January 13, 2015 (note rescheduled due date). The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above time and date. Telegraphic or other electronically transferred bids are not acceptable.

The project generally involves remedial construction at the former Jimmy's Dry Cleaning at 61 Nassau Road in the Town of Roosevelt, NY. It includes the areas of Operable Unit No. 1 (OU1) and Operable Unit No. 2 (OU2) as defined on the Contract Drawings. The Work includes, but is not limited to: excavation and transportation and off-site disposal of contaminated soil and waste materials; backfill and compaction, installation of permanganate injection system and placement of permanganate on-site and off-site, decommissioning of existing soil vapor extraction system and installation of new soil vapor extraction system. The estimated range for the work is: $1 and 5 million.

Proposals will be accepted only from bidders who attend the Pre-Bid Conference. All proposals must be made on the official proposal form and enclosed in the envelope which will be provided at the Pre-Bid Conference. Each proposal must be accompanied by a deposit or a bid bond in the amount of 5% of bid amount. All Bidders must attend a Pre-Bid Conference to discuss special requirements for the contract, to be held on Wednesday December 10, 2014 at the Site starting at 11:00 A.M. prevailing local time. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY AS A CONDITION OF BIDDING.
