Final Report of the Comparative Risk Project
On September 26, 2002, the Steering Committee of the New York State Comparative Risk Project met to discuss the Draft Final Report of the Risk Reduction Strategies Work Group which had been released May 30, 2002. The discussion addressed the contents of the report as well as comments received on the report from the public comment period which ended September 16, 2002. The Steering Committee approved the responses provided to the public's comments as well as the responses provided to concerns raised by members of the Steering Committee and supported the proposed revisions to the draft report.
Accordingly, the Steering Committee unanimously supports the recommendations included in this Final Report of the Risk Reduction Strategies Work Group. This report will serve as the Final Report for the Comparative Risk Project (pdf, 1.11 mb) and will fulfill the charge of the Steering Committee to "issue a final report which includes a recommended strategy that is based on the priorities identified by a characterization and comparison of risks for the NYSDEC's M2P2program..."
