Atlantic Ocean/ Long Island Sound WI/PWL

The most recent Atlantic/Long Island Sound Basin Waterbody Inventory/Priority Waterbodies List Report was issued in April 2002. This report includes an overall evaluation of water quality in the Atlantic/Long Island Sound Basin, as well as assessments for specific waterbody segments in the basin.

Atlantic Ocean/Long Island Sound Basin

The WI/PWL Report for this basin has been issued in two volumes: Volume 1 (pdf, 1.36 MB) covers waters in the New York City Metropolitan Area and Volume 2 (pdf, 1.98 MB) covers Nassau and Suffolk County Waters. You may choose to view/download either entire report as one large file, or in order to ease viewing/downloading, the information in these reports has been segmented into separate smaller files. Use the index below to find, view and download the portion (or portions) of the report of interest to you.

Updated Assessments

Also note that since this WI/PWL Basin Report was issued in 2002, a few of the assessment have been updated. These segments are listed in the index below, along with a link to obtain the revised segment data sheets.

The next review and update of the water quality assessments for waters in this basin is scheduled to be conducted later in 2008.
