New York Standards and Specifications for Erosion and Sediment Controls (August, 2005)
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announces the availability of the updated NY Standards and Specification for Erosion and Sediment Control. This document provides standards and specifications for selection, design and implementation of erosion and sediment control practices. The process of updating the standards was initiated in May 2002. A request for public comments was published in the Environmental Notice Bulletin on February 4, 2004.
A Responsiveness Summary is provided to address the comments received through this review process.
The New York Guidelines for Urban Erosion and Sediment Control is no longer available. Hard copies may be ordered from the Empire State Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society. The electronic version of the updated standards may be downloaded in the form of individual sections and appendices, as well as the full document.
Engineering Schematics appearing as figures in each chapter are also available via FTP as individual files for use in engineering drawing software.
