Where to Obtain Information and Provide Feedback About the Endicott Investigations
DEC offers opportunities for citizens to participate in the ongoing investigation and cleanup at the IBM facility at Endicott, New York, through public meetings and information sessions, printed documents and news releases.
IBM has been sampling and remediating groundwater contamination on its facility site since 1980. Recently, DEC has undertaken the Endicott Area Wide Study to identify any other industries that may have contributed to Endicott's groundwater contamination.
Public Meetings
There will be a public information session on June 29, 2005 at Union-Endicott High School, Main Cafeteria, 1200 East Main Street, Endicott. There will be two sessions:
First Session: 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm
Second Session: 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
This public information session will provide an update on the remedial investigations and remediation projects in the Endicott area. Representatives from federal, state and local health and environmental agencies, along with representatives from IBM Corporation, will be available to talk one-on-one with members of the community. The public is invited to come at any time and attend either session.

Johnson Memorial Library keeps a complete inventory of printed reports, data, maps, and other information developed during the investigation and cleanup, as well as fact sheets and public meeting announcements related to the IBM project in Endicott.
