Other Solid Waste Incineration Units Negative Declaration

The following is the content of a letter sent to the Regional Administrator at the USEPA, Judith A. Enck. The letter was signed on September 23, 2016 by Steven E. Flint, Director, Division of Air Resources.

Per the request of your office, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (Department) confirms, to the best of its knowledge, that there are no Other Solid Waste Incineration (OSWI) units subject to federal Emission Guidelines (40 CFR 60, Subpart FFFF) actively permitted and/or operating within New York State. This determination reasserts the Department's Negative Declaration finding pertaining to this source category that was submitted to EPA Region 2 ten years ago in correspondence dated November 13, 2006.
