Search DEC's Certified Operator Directory

This directory may be used in several ways to look up certified operator information:

• look up operator certification status by entering below an operator's last name (enter several characters to obtain a shorter list), or
• look up operator certification status by entering the operator's certification number, or
• enter a State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) number associated with a wastewater treatment facility to obtain a list of all certified operators at that facility.

If a certificate is expired beyond one (1) year, it will be necessary to complete the appropriate renewal training contact hours and pass the ABC certification examination in order to become certified again.

If you have moved to a different plant, or the SPDES number associated with your name is incorrect, please call (518)402-8177 and provide your certificate number and correct SPDES number.

If your name is missing from the list, our records indicate your certification has expired and you are not currently certified. If you have questions, contact the appropriate DEC staff member listed below.
