Family Fun: Outdoors After School

Are you tired of sitting at a desk all day? It's time to get your wiggles out!  Join us after school to get some fresh air, stretch your legs, and have fun outdoors. Meet at the visitor center to begin our adventure. Each week will have a different theme and will include time to explore outdoors. Come for as many sessions as you’d like, and dress for outdoor activity. For children in grades K-5 and their caregivers.

Date/Time: Thursdays, September 14 through October 26, 4:30 to 5:30 PM

DEC invites the public to comment about a proposal to address contamination related to the Former Damshire Cleaners Site (Albany, Albany Co.), within New York's State Superfund Program. Public comments about the proposal will be accepted through October 27, 2017.

A public meeting also will be held: Tuesday, October 17 at 6:00PM at the Crossings of Colonie, 580 Shaker Road, Loudonville, NY.

Halloween Open House

Come to our Halloween Open House on Saturday, October 28, 10:00 to 11:30 AM where we will be on hand to share fun facts about bats, spiders and bones galore. Touch a skull, run your fingers over animal teeth, and make a creepy bat craft to bring home.

Halloween Critters

Join us on Saturday, October 28, 2:00 PM for games and activities focused on some of our favorite Halloween animals. Families will discover that bats, spiders, snakes and more aren’t so scary after all. We will make a craft indoors and play outdoor games in anticipation of this spooky holiday. Please dress for the weather.
