Family Fun: MONDAY FUNDAY EXPLORERS

Get outside and explore Five Rivers. Meet us in front of the visitor center to head out on an adventure. What will be our theme today? Come join the adventure to find out. Dress for the weather.

Designed for children in grades K–5 and their caregivers.

Family Fun: NOT A CREATURE WAS STIRRING

Animals have only one problem going into winter—how to come out the other side! Happily, critters have learned to cope with the season in many different ways. Join us for indoor stories and an outdoor study of winter survival strategies.

Parent(s) and child(ren) must accompany each other.

Would you like to take a walk in nature, but would rather not go alone?

Join the "Walkers' Club" at Five Rivers Environmental Education Center on Tuesday mornings, 9:30 to 10:30 am.

Participants will gather at the Visitor Center and choose which trail they will walk that morning. This is an opportunity to walk with others and make new friends. These walks are not guided or led by staff. Walkers' Club is a free activity.

How to Do It: WINTER TREE IDENTIFICATION

What tree is that? Join a Five Rivers Naturalist for an introduction to winter tree identification. We will start inside, learning how to use bark, buds, and twigs to identify trees. After getting familiar with identification guides, we will head outside to put our knowledge to use. We will go out in inclement weather; please dress appropriately.

Designed for adults ages 16 and up. Please call to register by Tuesday, December 24.
