Public Meeting Location: Nyack Center, 58 Depew Avenue, Nyack, NY 10960

The public is invited to the meeting to learn about cleanup activities scheduled to begin in December, 2013 to address contamination related to the O&R Nyack Former Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) Site. The site is located at 55 Gedney St. in the Village of Nyack, Rockland County.

Project documents can be reviewed at the Nyack Public Library, 59 South Broadway, Nyack, NY 10960.

Note: In the event of inclement weather, the meeting will be held on November 25, 2013 at the same location and time.

This webinar will describe a collaborative photovoltaic procurement model that has been successfully deployed in other states and will consider its application in NYS.

DEC has received a Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) application from Hudson 59 LLC for a site known as 49-51 Route 59, site ID #C344076. This site is located in the Village of Nyack, within the County of Rockland, and is located at 49-51 Route 59. Comments regarding this application must be submitted no later than November 22, 2013. A presentation featuring live owls will be conducted by one of our local wildlife rehabilitators, Joyce Perry, followed by our popular “Owls in Jeopardy” game. Department of Environmental Conservation staff will be on hand to demonstrate interactive owl tracking. This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Registration is required. Please call the center at 518-475-0291 to register by Wednesday, November 20.
