Guided Hike: Service Road Loop Trail

Join us on Saturday, November 11, 10:00 AM for a 1.5-mile walk where we will experience a cross section of Five Rivers’ habitats. After passing through old fields and shrubland, we will skirt the edges of ponds and marshes, and then walk through the woods. With a variety of habitats comes the chance to encounter a variety of wildlife. The terrain is flat and the trails are wide.

Watchable Wildlife: White-Tailed Deer

The white-tailed deer is popular with wildlife watchers, nature photographers, and hunters. On Saturday, November 11th @ 2:00 pm we will walk the trails looking for signs of deer and hopefully have the opportunity to watch some. Along the way we will discuss the natural history of the deer as well as how DEC manages deer populations for all of us to enjoy.
