Waterfowl Hunting Youth Days - Lake Champlain Zone http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/28888.html Contact Bureau of Wildlifefwwildlf@gw.dec.state.ny.us Youth Days are additional days for Junior Hunters only. Young hunters, 12 to 15
years of age, possessing a junior hunting license may hunt ducks, coots,
mergansers, Canada geese, and brant on 2 special days in each zone. Daily bag
limits for ducks are the maximum allowed during the regular duck season, and 2
per day for Canada geese. Young hunters must be accompanied by a licensed
(including current HIP registration and duck stamp) adult hunter, but the adult
may not shoot any birds unless the respective regular season is open.
Note: A 2011-12 hunting license is needed to hunt on any Youth Day in
September 2012.

Hudson River research, and challenges facing estuarine habitats. These
FREE educational canoe trips at selected sites along the Hudson River Estuary are provided for the general public.
One trip per person, registration required. (register at URL listed above) Novices and families welcome (minimum age is 6, maximum of 2 children under 16 per adult). All gear provided. For safety reasons, we can't allow other boats to join group. Wear old sneakers or water shoes that can get wet/muddy (flip-flops come off!) Prepare to be knee-deep in water. Bring food, water, hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a sense of adventure!

adult mentor, 14- to 15-year old junior hunters may use a firearm or
crossbow to take one deer of either sex with the appropriate licenses,
tags and privileges. This youth hunt is open in Northern and Southern zones, except in
bow only areas .
