DEC has received a Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) application and Draft Remedial Investigation Work Plan for a site known as 355 Exterior St. Site ID #C203129. This site is located in the Borough of Bronx within the County of Bronx and is located at 355 Exterior Street. Public comments about the application and draft work plan must be submitted by April 10, 2020.

Buffer in a Bag - Deadline April 10 (or While Supplies Last)

Don't forget - if you're a landowner with at least 50 feet of streamside property in New York State, you may be eligible for 25 free tree and shrub seedlings through DEC's Buffer in a Bag initiative! Buffer in a Bag seedlings are intended to create riparian buffers that help prevent erosion, improve water quality, and create wildlife habitat along water.

Qualifying landowners are selected on a first-come, first-served basis until April 10, or while supplies last. Learn more and find an application on our website.

THIS PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD HAS BEEN POSTPONED

DEC invites the public to comment about a proposal for no further action related to the Former Cleaners Products Supply Site (Sunnyside, Queens), within New York's State Superfund Program. Public comments about the proposal will be accepted through April 10, 2020.

A public meeting also has been scheduled: March 24, 2020 at 6:00 PM at St. Sebastian's Recreation Center, 39-60 57th St., Woodside, NY 11377.

DEC Extends Public Comment Period for 6 NYCRR Part 248, Use of Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel and Best Available Retrofit Technology for Heavy Duty Vehicles

DEC is cancelling the previously scheduled public hearings for the following proposed rulemakings and extending the comment period for these rulemakings for 30 days.

Notice is hereby given that the hearing for revisions to 6 NYCRR Part 248 Use of Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel and Best Available Retrofit Technology for Heavy Duty Vehicles, which was scheduled for April 10, 2020, at 11 a.m. at NYSDEC, 625 Broadway, Public Assembly Room 129A/B, Albany, NY 12233 is cancelled, and that the public comment period for this rulemaking is extended until Friday, May 15, 2020.
