Notice is hereby given that the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) filed a Notice of Proposed Rule Making with the New York State Department of State to adopt prohibitions on hydrofluorocarbon substances previously in place at the national level by the USEPA. The goal of this proposed rule is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with the use of hydrofluorocarbons as refrigerants, aerosol propellants, and foam-blowing agents, where safe alternatives are available.

At the public hearing, attendees will have an opportunity to make an oral statement and/or file a written statement.
