Many people are inspired by Five Rivers, including local artists. During July and August, members of the Bethlehem Art Association will exhibit some of their works related to the site in the visitor center.The exhibit is open during visitor center hours, Monday through Saturday, 9am to 4:30pm; closed Sundays and state holidays.

Meet the artists at a reception from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, July 25.

Guided Walk:  HABITATS OF FIVE RIVERS
Five Rivers is home to so many different animals! Join a center naturalist for a walk around the property to see and discuss the different habitats that support these animals. We will see field, forest, marsh, and pond habitats. All ages welcome. Space is limited.

DEC's I FISH NY program will conduct a Free Fishing Clinic on: 
  • July 20th, 2019 at Pier 5 in the Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Free Fishing Clinics are family and first time angler friendly! Participants can fish for free and loaner fishing rods and bait will be available for those who want to participate. No freshwater fishing license or enrollment in the Recreational Marine Fishing Registry is required. In addition to fishing, participants can learn about fish identification, fishing equipment and techniques, fisheries management, angling ethics and aquatic ecology.

Watchable Wildlife: BEAVER TREE TRAIL

We will take a walk along the Beaver Tree Trail to see what the beavers are up to. We’ll watch for turtles, dragonflies and other critters that share this habitat as we check the status of the beavers’ dam and lodge. Space is limited.
