This notice announces the availability of a Draft Watershed Implementation Plan proposed by New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) to meet requirements of the Chesapeake Bay Total Daily Maximum Load (TMDL). 

Public comment on this document will be accepted through June 7, 2019. Comments can be mailed or e-mailed to the contact listed above.

DEC, in cooperation with the Department of State and Adirondack Park Agency, is soliciting Smart Growth Grant applications from Adirondack Park and Catskill Park communities and organizations. These grants are intended for projects that link environmental protection, economic development and community livability within the Parks.

Approximately $1,050,000 in grant funding is available from the Environmental Protection Fund for eligible projects in the Adirondack Park, and approximately $400,000 in grant funding is available for eligible projects in the Catskill Park.
