DEC invites the public to comment about proposed remedies to address contamination related to the Al Tech Specialty Steel Site (Watervliet, Albany Co.), within New York's State Superfund Program. Public comments about the proposals will be accepted through February 2, 2019.

A public meeting also will be held about the proposed cleanup: Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 7:00 PM at the Watervliet Senior Center, 1501 Broadway, Watervliet, NY 12189.

Educator Workshop: AQUATIC WILD
Educators attending this exciting workshop will learn about, use, and go home with the award-winning Aquatic WILD K-12 Curriculum and Activity Guide. Aquatic WILD explores aquatic wildlife and ecology through hands-on simulations and modeling. This interdisciplinary K-12 resource is provided free of charge by the NYS Return a Gift to Wildlife Fund. Certified teachers will receive 4 CTLE hours. Call to register by Wednesday, January 30.
