The newly consolidated Invasive Species Grant Program will combine previous opportunities, such as the Aquatic Invasive Species Spread Prevention and the Aquatic and Terrestrial Invasive Species Early Detection/Rapid Response grants, to create a single grant program designed to support projects that target both aquatic and terrestrial invasive species. In addition, the Invasive Species Grant program will allow applications for two new categories: Lake Management Planning and Aquatic and Terrestrial Invasive Species Research. Applications are due Friday, February 15, 2019 at 3:00 PM.

We are offering a webinar on the grant program on Thursday, January 17th from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. During the webinar, staff from NYSDEC's Invasive Species program will describe grant program requirements, eligible project types, application evaluation and scoring. Staff from Grants Reform will also demonstrate how to apply for the grant using the Grants Gateway.

This calendar provides a listing of all DEC-sponsored events that are open to the public. You can click on any event in the calendar to view additional details about the event. Note that the events at environmental education centers will only display in the region in which they are located, even though they serve residents from adjacent areas. We welcome people with disabilities to all of our programs. Please call the contact number ahead of time to let us know your specific needs and we will be happy to learn how we can best serve you.
