DEC invites the public to comment about a proposed remedy to address contamination related to the 3500 Park Avenue Apartments Site (Bronx), within New York's Brownfield Cleanup Program. Public comments about the proposal will be accepted through May 5, 2018.

I Love My Park Day is an annual event that brings together thousands of volunteers to celebrate and enhance New York's parks, historic sites, and public lands. Five Rivers Environmental Education Center has 10 miles of trails used for passive recreation, environmental education, and wildlife viewing. Projects will include trail clean-up, light maintenance, tree planting and invasive species removal. All ages welcome.

Volunteer to help with trail maintenance at Harris Hill State Forest. Pick up branches and limbs along the Overland Trail. May include clipping some branches hanging in the trail.

Volunteers should bring:
Garden gloves
Tools (rake, shovel, hand clippers or loppers)

Meet at Harris Hill Extension Parking Lot
Parking lot along Harris Hill Road (north of 28th Creek Road and south of Gerry Ellington Road)
