New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) Invites the Public to Comment on Salmon River (Oswego County) Fisheries Management Plan.

The purpose of this fisheries management plan is to guide efforts and resources toward enhancing the Salmon River's status as New York State's premier, year-round angling destination for lake-run trout and salmon (salmonids) over the next 15 years (2018-2033).

NYS DEC will accept public comments on the draft plan until April 20, 2018. To comment on the plan, send an e-mail with the subject line "Salmon River Fishery Management Plan" to fwfish7@dec.ny.gov or send written comments to the contact listed above.

These information sessions aim to assist potential applicants in preparation for the Round 14 Grant. Project categories will include grants for planting, maintenance, education programs, tree inventories and forestry management plans.
