Public Meeting Location: Redeemer Lutheran School, 69-26 Cooper Avenue in Glendale, Queens.

DEC invites the public to an informational meeting regarding DEC’s proposal to amend Queens County Freshwater Wetlands Map 4 of 10 and Kings County Freshwater Wetlands Map 2 of 6 to add additional Class 1 wetlands of unusual local importance at the Ridgewood Reservoir.

Public comments also are welcome at the meeting, and during a public comment period that runs through March 22, 2018.

Click the web link above at "URL" to learn about the proposal, the public meeting, and how to comment.
Maps showing the proposed revision are available at the city register and county clerks offices for Queens and Brooklyn and at the NYSDEC Region 2 Office, Long Island City, NY.

This calendar provides a listing of all DEC-sponsored events that are open to the public. You can click on any event in the calendar to view additional details about the event. Note that the events at environmental education centers will only display in the region in which they are located, even though they serve residents from adjacent areas. We welcome people with disabilities to all of our programs. Please call the contact number ahead of time to let us know your specific needs and we will be happy to learn how we can best serve you.

We would appreciate receiving feedback from our users. Please let us know if you encounter any difficulties viewing or using this calendar by sending an email to the DEC webmaster.
