Join us for a day of outdoor fun for the whole family. Check out the exhibits in the new visitor center and learn about the habitats at Five Rivers, get reacquainted with the turtles, marvel at the restoration work on Wayne Trimm's mural, and enjoy a variety of programs and activities for all ages. We'll have staff and volunteers at the visitor center, at the Guided School Program building, and out on the trails to answer your questions.

This event marks DEC's first Outdoor Day, where visitors will have the opportunity to try outdoor activities first-hand, such as hiking, bird watching and fishing. Activities are being finalized, and include a catch-and-release fishing clinic (registration required - see separate calendar listing), guided walks, information displays, kids' crafts, a wildlife rehabilitator with rescued animals, an ECO K9 unit, and a visit by Smokey Bear. Watch this space for updates!
