How to Do It: Introduction to iNaturalist.org

Learn how you can help Five Rivers build a more complete species list by using iNaturalist.org, an international community of naturalists who share their photos and observations and help each other make identifications. Bring your camera or camera phone. We’ll take pictures of local species during our guided walk, upload them to the website, and help others identify their species correctly. If possible, please download the iNaturalist app on your phone or sign up to www.iNaturalist.org prior to the workshop. Meet in the Guided School Program classroom to begin.

Space is limited. Please call 518-475-0291 by Wednesday, June 7 to register.

This workshop-style program is for ages 12 through adult.

This calendar provides a listing of all DEC-sponsored events that are open to the public. You can click on any event in the calendar to view additional details about the event. Note that the events at environmental education centers will only display in the region in which they are located, even though they serve residents from adjacent areas.
