As part of Governor Cuomo’s plan to improve the state’s economic development model, the NYS Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) streamlines and expedites the grant application process. It offers a single entry point for access to funding from multiple state agencies for economic development, community revitalization, and environmental improvements.

As part of the 2017 CFA, a series of workshops is offered across the state to provide potential applicants with additional information on individual funding programs offered, as well as an opportunity to ask questions and discuss project ideas with program representatives. Workshops are being held during May and June.

DEC has received a Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) application and Remedial Investigation/Interim Remedial Measures (RI/IRM) Work Plan for a site known as Jefferson Avenue Apartments, site ID #C915317. This site is located in the City of Buffalo, within the County of Erie, and is located at 1140 & 1162 Jefferson Avenue.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) announced today that the agency is accepting public comments on two regulatory proposals.

One proposal is for the closure of the diamondback terrapin season; the other revises the special permit requirements for bobcat hunting and trapping.

The public comment period will run until June 9, 2017
