Statewide Floodplain and Coastal Erosion Training - Floodplain Management

This free, full day training session will provide a detailed overview of FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and review the community's roles and responsibilities in administering this program at the local level. NYSDEC is committed to providing local floodplain administrators and other municipal officials with the tools needed to ensure all floodplain development is done in a safe manner that meets the requirements of the NFIP.

Manhattan Municipal Building, Mezzanine
1 Centre Street, NY, NY 10007

Please Note:  The mezzanine is located near the lobby level, one flight up the staircase to the left of the entrance.  Enter at the 1 Centre Street North entrance next to the City Store.  Past the security checkpoint make a sharp left to the stairs adjacent to the security area.  Do not go towards the elevators.  Take the stairs up one flight and the rooms will be on the right.  Security will know about the event and can provide directions if needed.

Parking:  Parking is not available at the training site due to building security restrictions.  The closest available parking is located at:

There is no fee associated with this training session. Continuing education credits will be available for Architects, Professional Engineers, Code Officials and Certified Floodplain Managers.
