DEC invites public comment about a proposal for "no further action" in relation to the Mechanicville Coons Crossing Deposit Site (Stillwater, Saratoga Co.), within New York's Manufactured Gas Plant Program. Comments about the proposal will be accepted through March 14, 2014.

A public meeting also will be held: February 27, 2014 at 6:30pm at the Stillwater Senior Center, 178 North Main Street, Mechanicville, NY.

Note: Public comment period has been extended from February 22, 2014 until March 14, 2014.

DEC invites public comment about a proposed remedy to address contamination related to the Yaphank (LIRR) Site, located in Yaphank, Suffolk County. Comments regarding the cleanup proposal now will be accepted through March 14, 2014.

A public meeting about the cleanup proposal also will be held: Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 7:30pm at Dowling College's Brookhaven Campus, 1300 William Floyd Parkway, Building B, Room 201, Shirley, NY 11967.
