DEC invites public comment about a proposed remedy to address contamination related to the 149 Kent Avenue Site, within New York's Brownfield Cleanup Program. The site is located at 149 Kent Avenue in Brooklyn. Comments regarding the cleanup proposal must be submitted no later than December 7, 2013.

Project documents can be reviewed at the Brooklyn Public Library, Greenpoint Branch, 107 Norman Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11222 (718) 349-8504.

Join center staff and bird experts from the Audubon Society of the Capital Region as we survey owls at Five Rivers. Field parties will visit likely owl roosts then gather at a roaring campfire to compare findings. Complimentary hot dogs and hot drinks will answer the question, “Who cooks for you?” Space is limited. Please call the center at 518-475-0291 to register by Wednesday, November 27.
