Join us for a hike through the meandering wilds of the Old Field Trail, visiting forest, shrub, prairie and pond habitats while enjoying the fall weather and colors. Trail distance is about 1 mile. Please bring drinking water and appropriate footwear.

Project Learning Tree is an award-winning curriculum that uses the forest as a "window" to help students in grades pre-K to 8 and educators gain awareness and knowledge of the natural world. Much of the curriculum focuses on practical, familiar examples of tress, plants and household products to paint a broader picture of the issues facing the environment today. All participants will receive the free Project Learning Tree curriculum guide upon completion. www.plt.org

There are hands on activities for both young and old alike. Fish the waters around Norrie Point to find out who lives there. Researchers will demonstrate techniques for studying the Hudson. Canoe a tidal marsh. Most programs wheelchair accessible.
