The second meeting of the year for the Region 6 Open Space Conservation Plan Advisory Committee will be held at the Lowville DEC office at 7327 State Route 812 in Lowville.

NYS staff will hold a staff availability session for NYS stakeholders, on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 beginning at 1:30 p.m., to present the results of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) 2012 program review, including the updated model rule and accompanying recommendations, and the regulatory process NYS will use to update its CO2 budget trading program. Final program review materials are available at http://www.rggi.org/design/program_review.

The availability session will be held at Department of Environmental Conservation headquarters, 625 Broadway, Albany (directions at http://www.dec.ny.gov/about/244.html), Conference Room 129. The meeting agenda and any meeting materials will be made available at http://www.dec.ny.gov/energy/76975.html by Friday, April 12.

Stakeholders may participate via webinar and/or telephone. Webinar participants must use the telephone call-in number; no audio signal will be transmitted over the Internet.

To join the webinar, go to http://www.webdialogs.com, click the “Join a meeting” button and enter Conference ID 58089 in the “Meeting Login” screen. On your telephone, dial 1-866-394-2346 and enter conference call code 1982360347# when prompted.

Stakeholders, whether participating in person or via webinar/telephone, must pre-register to attend this meeting. Failure to pre-register to attend in person will result in delayed admission to the building. To pre-register, please e-mail your name and organizational affiliation to climatechange@gw.dec.state.ny.us, by noon, Tuesday, April 16. Include the words “Will attend 4/17 RGGI meeting” or “Will call 4/17 RGGI meeting” in the subject line. Stakeholders attending in person will be required to present government-issued photographic identification to be admitted to the DEC building.

The US Department of Justice will hold two public meetings where the US government will present the proposed natural resources damages settlement for pollution of the St Lawrence River in the case against ALCOA/Reynolds. DEC is a plaintiff in this case.
