First meeting of the year for the Region 6 Open Space Conservation Plan Advisory Committee will be held at the Lowville DEC office at 7327 State Route 812 in Lowville.

Public Meeting Location: Suffolk County Community College, Eastern Campus (Riverhead), Room S-101, Shinnecock Building (south side of the campus), 121 Speonk-Riverhead Road, Riverhead, NY 11901

The public is invited to the public meeting to learn about the results of the site characterization investigation completed by DEC related to the Speonk Plume Site (Speonk). At the meeting, representatives from DEC and the New York State Department of Health will:

  • discuss the results of the investigation;
  • provide information about the recent site classification;
  • answer your questions about the site.

This calendar provides a listing of all DEC-sponsored events that are open to the public. You can click on any event in the calendar to view additional details about the event. Note that the events at environmental education centers will only display in the region in which they are located, even though they serve residents from adjacent areas.
