Furbearer Trapping

  • Bobcat - northern areas upstate
  • Marten - Adirondack Wildlife Management Units 5C, 5G, 5F, 5H, 6J and 6F only - a special permit is required to trap marten. Contact DEC's Region 5 wildlife office at (518) 623-1240 for details
  • Fisher - northern and eastern areas upstate
Furbearer Hunting

This calendar provides a listing of all DEC-sponsored events that are open to the public. You can click on any event in the calendar to view additional details about the event. Note that the events at environmental education centers will only display in the region in which they are located, even though they serve residents from adjacent areas.
