Under the close supervision of a licensed and experienced adult mentor, 14- to 15-year old junior hunters may use a firearm or crossbow to take one deer of either sex with the appropriate licenses, tags and privileges. This youth hunt is open in Northern and Southern zones, except in bow only areas.

Join us for workshops dedicated to the many teaching opportunities only autumn can provide. Choose from indoor/outdoor sessions on monarchs and woolly bears, fall foliage, bird life, bees and wasps and preparations for winter. Savvy teaching ideas and techniques will help you make your seasonal classroom studies fun and engaging. The presentations are free, but space is limited. Note that the events at environmental education centers will only display in the region in which they are located, even though they serve residents from adjacent areas.
