Micropterus salmoides

Largemouth Bass inhabits lakes and large rivers in areas associated with submerged aquatic vegetation. It is native to watersheds of the Great Lakes drainage and the Allegheny and it has become established in Champlain and all the remaining watersheds. Its range continues to expand by inadvertent stocking by anglers in the Adirondacks and elsewhere.
