Brook Trout

Brook Trout

Salvelinus fontinalis

Brook Trout lives in coldwater streams and lakes and depends on clean gravel areas for spawning. It is native to all 18 watersheds, although it has been stocked and managed in additional waters where it is not native. Its range has diminished in all watersheds partly due to invasive species including yellow perch and brown trout.
