Coregonus reighardi

Shortnose Cisco once lived in deeper parts of larger lakes like Lake Ontario. Unlike the other members of the genus, it was a spring spawner. The only records of capture from NY are from the 1930s and 1940s. It was last recorded from a catch near Rochester in 1964 and it is regarded as extirpated.
