Noturus miurus

Brindled Madtom lives in the lower reaches of streams with silty, weedy areas. The five watersheds in which it is native are in the western Great Lakes and the Allegheny. Numbers appear to have declined in the Oswego watershed but it has become established as a nonnative in the Mohawk River.
