Ameiurus nebulosus

Brown Bullhead lives in lakes and rivers with silty bottoms or thick submerged aquatic vegetation. It is a generalist and tolerant of degraded conditions. All watersheds contain brown bullheads and it is among the most frequently caught species. In most Adirondack ponds it is not native.
