Myoxocephalus thompsonii

Deepwater Sculpin lives off-shore in deep, bottom areas of Lake Ontario and was once known in Lake Erie. It remains in most of its former range in Lake Ontario but has not been reported recently from Lake Erie. It is classified as Threatened; it was presumed extirpated but was rediscovered in 1995.
