Longnose Sucker

Catostomus catostomus

Longnose sucker lives in cooler streams and lakes with clean gravel and is native to the northern 2/3rds of the state. It has declined in many areas and seems most stable in the eastern and northern watersheds. It remains in about half of the areas where it was known historically.
