This group is also responsible for oversight of the Division's data systems and equipment. The technological advances of the web have made e-mail a primary method of communication both internally and externally. The Division relies upon electronic media for communication, data transfer, education, and outreach with regulated entities, federal, state local governmental agencies, and the general public. The group's responsibilities include:

  • GIS technical assistance, training, and troubleshooting
  • DOW internal and external webpage support, maintenance, and quality control
  • Electronic document storage
  • Maintenance, training, and support of data systems and information
  • Management of DOW's IT budget
  • Represent DOW on DEC corporate data committees and task forces
  • Oversee use and training of data equipment for DOW
