June 6, 2012 - Hudson River Estuary Management Advisory Committee Meeting
The Hudson River Estuary Advisory Committee met on June 6, 2012 at the Norrie Point Environmental Center, Staatsburg, NY. Eighty two (82) people attended. Agenda topics addressed during the meeting included: Announcement of the Estuary Program EPA Environmental Quality Award on April 27,2012; the Hudson Estuary designation as a "Great Waters"; Hudson River Estuary Conservation Partner awards presented to Gene Kraese, Hudson Valley Marine Trades Assoc. and Mike Rubbo, Teatown Lake Reservation; presentation of "A New Assessment of Water Infrastructure", by Brian Rahm, Cornell University; presentation of the 2011 HREMAC Annual Report and conversation with James Tierney, Assistant Commissioner Office of Water Resources. The afternoon conversation focused on the results of interviews and recommendations developed by Ona Ferguson, Consensus Building Institute.
